Scarcity 1 is a snapshot of everyday life for working class citizens as they struggle through the daily hustle of transportation in the city of Lagos. The artist ruminates on the paradox that is fuel scarcity in an oil rich nation and the impact of this on the average Nigerian. As the artist considers his experience, and that of the people around him, this piece is at the same time both poetic and political.
