At the age of 7, Serwaa Abankwa started selling fabrics with her late grandmother, fostering in her a nostalgic love for African wax prints that she still holds dear today. Her womens and menswear brand, Seraban, is the physical manifestation of that love. Abankwa’s inspiration is drawn from the colours around her, the brand’s DNA forming layering over them with hints of her African heritage and contemporary trends woven into the silhouettes and styling details.
